We’re getting married!

You’re invited to share our special day with us, we hope you can make it!

October 7th 2017

Our Story

After our engagement on Christamas eve last year and moving to Mpumalanga shortly after, we’ve decided to have our wedding on a beautiful farm in the Lowveld. We understand that the distance to travel is a big commitment, please come if you can but don’t break the bank to do so. We would love to celebrate our big day with all of you!

Wedding Gifts

Instead of traveling with wedding gifts and worrying about online registries and deliveries, we encourage you to rather bless us with gift vouchers from Mr Price Home, @Home, Boardmans, Woolworths and Game.

With the location in mind, your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift!

Things to do

  • Kruger National Park — The farm is only 20 minutes away from the Malelane Gate. We highly recommend a drive through South Africa’s largest nature reserve, even if it is only to kill a few hours. Remember to bring your ID’s as it’s a necessity to get in. It is R76 for a day pass!
  • Pestana Lodge Restaurant — If you don’t have a lot of time but still want to enjoy a bit of the Kruger National Park, Pestana has a beautiful lookout deck and is situated on the border of the park near the Malelane Gate.
  • The Panorama Route — One of the most breathtaking drives in the country! The Panorama Route is full of natural wonders, from the Blyde River Canyon, to the Three Rondavels and many waterfalls along the way. Note that this is a full day trip and cash is needed for entrance to most of the attractions.
  • Sudwala Caves — Walk through the fascinating caves in Sudwala and enjoy a 45 minute tour of the dolomite rock structures.
  • Golf with the Manne — If you’re a fan of golf or want to experience the Kruger National Park with the boys, join the group heading to Skukuza Golf Course in the park on Friday. If you want in, get in touch with Josh at hello@joshkraus.co.za or 0823922400.
  • Harry’s Pancakes in Graskop — A local favourite about 2 hours drive away in the small town of Graskop. They have many delicious savoury and sweet pancakes to choose from!
  • Kaapsehoop Escarpment and Wild Horses — Enjoy the beautiful escarpment views on a short walk in the quaint and mystical town of Kaapsehoop, which is just outside of Nelspruit. Wild horses roam the mountains too!
  • Nelspruit — About an hour away from the farm. Riverside and Ilanga are two great malls in Nelspruit which you can find just about anything at.
  • Malelane — The closest town to the farm and only 20 minutes away. Pick ‘n Pay, Spar, Clicks, Wimpy, Spur, Nando’s, Debonnaires, Fish Aways and Steers are all found in Malelane too!

Important Info

  • Please be cautious on the roads — People in Mpumalanga seem to overtake at the worst times and often cause very dangerous situations. A lot of the roads in our area have been maintained recently but keep an eye out for potholes and stop and go’s. Please be safe on the roads!
  • Parking on the farm — An allocated parking area on the farm is available and a shuttle will be there to lift you to the braai and reception.
  • Malaria — Mpumalanga is a malaria area. Insect repellent will be available at the reception but please bring your own for your time on the farm and use it as much as possible.
